The sports and the Politics

What would happen if an Iranian athlete should compete with an Israeli in the arena? There are some possibilities
1The Coronavirus may infect Iranian
2He has an appendix issue
3His leg is injured suddenly
4He has a headache
In summary, there is a problem that Iranians would use to make an excuse and not face Israelis
 
But why? Because the Iran government says we don't recognize Israel as a country and our people should follow our policy. They have never sent an official letter to the IOC or other international authorities. So, Iranian athletes would ban participating the sports event or suspend for a while
 
But, for many rival countries, sports events are the chance to beat each other without fear of commencing a real war. Let's look at the 1976 Munich basketball final when the USSR coaches forced the referee to add 3 seconds to the time, and they could beat the Americans. It would be interesting if you didn't miss it
